NEWSBRIEF: YEMEN – US airstrike in Yemen that targeted Sanaa and its suburbs at dawn has resulted to at least 3 deaths, says local media.
Areas Targeted by the US Airstrikes
From the local security sources, the following areas were targeted:
- Bani Hushaysh district experienced 6 airstrikes resulting to a significant damage to both public and private properties.
- Jabal Nuqum was hit once.
- Faj Attan in the Ma’een district experienced 3 air raids.
- A farm in Hawri area of the Hamdan district faced 2 airstrikes resulting to damage on crops and farmland.
Continued US Airstrike in Yemen
Since Trump’s second term as US president, Yemen has seen an increased number of airstrikes from the US with the most recent being on Tuesday that targeted the Red Sea port of Hodeidah, killing 14 and wounding 15.
Despite the attacks, Houthis have vowed to continue their attacks on Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea until Israel stops its aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Since the renewed attacks in Yemen, the airstrikes have killed over 100, with women and children being the majority.
