PALESTINE – Israel committing genocide in Gaza has been affirmed by Amnesty International, in a “State of the World’s Human Rights” report of 2025 by its Secretary General, Agnès Callamard.

The State of the World’s Human Rights Report
Agnès stated that “events of the past 12 months – not least Israel’s livestreamed but unheeded genocide of Palestinians in Gaza – have laid bare just how hellish the world can be for so many when the most powerful states jettison international law and disregard multilateral institutions.”
She added that nations “have watched, helplessly, as Israel has killed thousands of Palestinians, massacred entire families, and destroyed homes, hospitals, and educational institutions.”
She stressed the need for all nations to support international justice and hold perpetrators accountable.
The Continued Gaza Bombardment by Israel
Since Oct. 7, Gaza has seen an increase in Israeli bombardment which has killed over 52,000, much of whom are women, children and the elderly.
Six Palestinians were killed today, April 29, by Israeli bombardment of Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip after Israel bombed tents housing the displaced persons, leaving over 30 injured.
Humanitarian crisis keeps rising in Gaza with the aid blockade, leaving a scarcity of food, safe drinking water, shelter, and medical care essentials.
UNRWA stated that the medical supplies available can only last one or two months, since much of it has already run out.
