NEWSBRIEF: OMAN – The first indirect US-Iran nuclear talks in Oman today Saturday, April 12 was “constructive” according to the Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi.

The talks were being undertaken through the Omani intermediaries delivering messages between the American and Iranian delegations.
The Iranian side stressed the value of negotiations being undertaken under a fair and equal standing.
From the Iranian side, the Americans “showed willingness for a fair agreement.”
This first round of talks was just a “ground breaking event” with no agreements being made, but rather a commitment to a continuous open line of communication between Tehran and Washington.
The second round of talks have been scheduled for next Saturday.
