Ukraine: Russian Drone Strike in Kharkiv Kills 4

NEWSBREAK: UKRAINE – Ukraine has reported that in the late hours of April 3, a Russian drone strike in Kharkiv have killed 4 and injured 35. From the regional military head, the drone involved is a Shahed, adding that the region has of late witnessed an increase of attacks using the Shahed drones.

The Drone Strike in Kharkiv, Just one Among Several

The Russian Drone strike in Kharkiv was just one of a massive strike operation undertaken against Ukraine that included Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The attack on Kyiv region resulted to fires, 2 injuries and property damage as an effect of the fires.

In the early hours of April 4, other aerial strikes were recorded, with Ukraine saying that the drones were targeting residential buildings and causing fires.

The Russian Air Defense Forces have said that they’ve destroyed 107 Ukrainian UAVs in an overnight operation that was targeting various Russian regions.

Some of the regions under the Ukrainian air bombardment were:

  • Moscow region
  • Kursk region
  • Rostov
  • Lipetsk Oblast
  • Tambov Oblast, among others

The Continued Talks to End the Russia-Ukraine Conflict

There has been a series of talks being held involving both Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the United States seeking to end the hostilities between the two ex-soviet states, with some progress seen in the latest ceasefire on energy strikes, which gives some hope to the whole ordeal.

While this ceasefire still appears fragile with both nations accusing each other of moratorium breach, dialogue continues between Russia and US which involves initial establishment of diplomatic trust between Kremlin and Washington.

The latest is the high level visit by the Russian investment envoy Kirill Dmitriev on Thursday, April 3.

Speaking to reporters, Kirill acknowledged the existence of differences between Washington and Moscow, but expressed optimism in the Trump’s administration willingness for a dialogue to solve the issues present.

He also added that there’ require more talks for a deal to be attained.
